The Korean anti-Japan feelings have their roots in Korean own feelings inferior to Japan. Though Korean people believe Japan and Korea have belonged to the same Chinese cultural area, and Korean people must be senior to Japanese people in this cultural area in history. But Korea was way behind Japan, and experienced humiliation to be dominated by Japan. And Korean people experienced bitterness that they could not rise from this humiliation by themselves. Additionally, from 1945, Korean people must admit they have been taking orders from Japan, though Korea started as a liberated nation and Japan as a defeated nation. They have been feeling bitterness above our imagination. : Korean people may not release from feelings inferior to Japan as long as Japan exists as the nation next door which share same senses of value as democracy and market economy and there is economic disparity between two nations. : When Korean people escalate their anti-Japan feelings because of diplomatic or political friction, an caricature appears in a newspaper infallibly. In this caricature, Japanese islands are pulled to the Pacific side by a ship. This means Koreans can't stand Japan, which is a source of trouble, and want Japan to move far away. If Japan move far away, Koreans may neither mind Japan nor feel inferior to Japan. We can see their earnest wish in this caricature. |
韓国における反日感情の基本は日本に対する民族的コンプレックスである。歴史的には 中国文化圏における先輩でありながら後輩の日本に遅れを取り、支配されたという屈辱。 そしてその屈辱からの脱出（解放）を自力でやれなかった悔しさ（このことは次章で詳しく触れる）。 しかも一九四五年以降、解放された韓国と敗戦の日本として出発しながら、 さらに日本の風下に立たざるを得ないという悔しさは想像にあまりある。 : 韓国が日本と同じく自由民主主義と市場経済という価値観を共にする 国として隣に存在し、 かつ経済力に大きな格差がある限り、この対日コンプレックスはなくな らないかもしれない。 : 韓国では日韓の間で外交的、政治的摩擦が生じ反日感情が高まると、 日本列島を朝鮮半島から引き離そうと船で太平洋の方に引っ張っていくといった風刺漫画が新聞によく登場する。ト ラブル源として日本はもう御免だ、遠くへ引っ越してくれという意味である。そこには遠くに 引っ越してくれれば日本を意識せずに済むし、コンプレックスも感じなくて済むのにという 切ない心理が込められている。 引用元の本は、韓国に20年在住の新聞記者、黒田勝弘さんが執筆したものです。 |
