"I never change my mind to be sure my cartoon pointed out the nature of the incident."
"I felt like meeting up with witch hunting."
"When I drew that cartoon, I could not know the criminal was a Korean."
"I wanted to criticize the coalition formation of Bush's Republican Party government and America Association(National Rifle Association?)."
I think that we should blame the person who makes him draw cartoons on
the media which has many watchers.
- How many white balloons?
A week after painful incident, multiple(all?) Korean media reported(Japanese) that the ceremonial bell rang 33 times, and 33 white balloons
were released in Virginia Tech.
33 times or 33 white balloons mean 32 victims and the criminal person who
killed himself after committing murders. In other words, Korean media reported
the memorial ceremony was held for the victims and the criminal person.
But strange to say, each American mediareported "rang 32 times" and "32 white balloons". This is the
same as mainstream multiple media in America(except MSNBC)(Virginia Tech site
also says "32".).
I have written again and again that not a few Korean people are
the people
who believe what they want to believe.
In kumdo problem, they believe and try to spread the history without any grounds or evidences. Because
they think "It must be that way.". Their "
It must be that
way." almost means their desire, "We hope it should be that way.".
Does this "33" also represent their desire definitely? Korean
people need a story that the memorial ceremony was held not only for the
victims of the awful crime but also the Korean criminal person. It is the
story that American people absolved the Korean criminal who killed 32 people.
Many Koreans or Korean descents believe the story and feel relieved. If
no one disputes it, this story will become established as "their history".
I suspect what Korean media did is not only an impression management but
also fabricating their history. If someone will say "The number of
white balloons were 32." after that, Korean people can not believe
it. In this way, the history they want to believe is newly created.
This is a sort of ways they have fabricated their history, isn't it? I
am now watching how they fabricate their history, am not I? Perhaps Korean
media also have been participating and leading to fabricate their history.
In this case, their "We hope it should be that way." is exactly
"We want American people's absolution.". They dread American people's hostility
At first we should see this incident as a personal crime before understanding
its backgrounds, I think. But Korean media or people's reactions show how
Korean people will react in the case that an American commits the same
crime in Korea.
When an American will commit a brutal crime in Korea, perhaps many Korean people must release their hostility against the United States. This is the reason why many Korean people can not consider this crime as a personal one basically.
Then they dread the hostility from American people, and crave
such an "absolution" of American people. Then the "absolution" is
fabricated this time, isn't it?
But the people who exaggerate, fabricate and never absolve their "damages caused by Empire of Japan" try to throw themselves at the illusion which they are absolved.
This can only be described as very ludicrous and very ugly. |

がWEBに載りました。
「私の漫画が事件の本質を指摘したという確信には変わりがない」
「魔女狩りにあった感じだ」
「あの漫画を描いた時点では犯人が韓国系だとわからなかった」
「ブッシュアメリカ共和党政権とアメリカ協会の結託を批判したかった。」
こういう人に多くの人が見るメディアに描かせている人物に責任があるのではないでしょうか？
- 白い風船の数は？
さて、この痛ましい事件から一週間が経った日、複数の韓国メディアは、バージニア工科大学では33回の弔鐘が鳴り、 33個の風船が放たれた、と 報じました。
33個というのはこの米国史上初という32人の犠牲者(亡くなった人)と自殺した犯人を含めた数です。つまり、犯人を含めた慰霊が行われた、と報じたのです。
ところが奇怪なことに、米国メディアでは、いずれも弔鐘と白い風船の数を犠牲者の32個と
報じて いたのです。複数の大手メディアのサイトでそう報じられています (MSNBCを除く、バージニア工科大サイトでも32)。
わたしは何度も韓国人とは「信じたいものを信じる」人々
である、と書いてきました。コムド問題においても、 「そうにちがいないから、と考えるから」根拠も証拠もない歴史を信じ、 それを広めようとする、と書きました。 彼らの「そうにちがいない」はたいてい「そうであってほしい」という願望です。
この33個の風船というのはまさしく 「そうであってほしい」からではないでしょうか？つまり、恐るべき犯罪の犠牲者だけを慰霊していたのではなく、韓国人の犯人をも慰霊した、
というストーリーが欲しいのです。アメリカ人は32人を殺した韓国人を許してくれた、というストーリーです。
多くの韓国人、韓国系の人々がそれを信じ、安堵するわけです。誰も異議をはさまなければ、このストーリーは、韓国では歴史の一部として定着することでしょう。韓国メディアは、単なる印象操作だけでなく、歴史の捏造を行ったのではないのでしょうか？しばらくして「白い風船は32個だった」と言っても、韓国では誰も信じないでしょう。
こうして彼らの中で信じたい歴史が造られていくのです。
これまでも彼らの中では、ひとつの方法としてこうやって歴史が捏造されてきたのではないのでしょうか。私はその現場を見ているというわけです。 韓国メディアも捏造に参加し、主導してきたのでしょう。
さて、ここでの「そうであってほしい」というのは「アメリカ人の赦しがほしい」ということです。彼らはアメリカ人の敵意が怖いのです。
この犯罪は背景がわからない限りは、まず個人の犯罪として考えるべきだろうと、私も思います。しかし彼らの見せた反応は、 同様の事件を韓国で米国人が起こした場合、韓国人がどう反応するかということでもあります。
米国人が同様の犯罪を韓国で犯せば、おそらく米国そのもののへの敵意となるはずです。 だからこそ、彼らは基本的にこの犯罪を個人的なもの、という視点から見ることができません。
そこでこのような民族を代表する「許し」を渇望し、それは捏造されたのではないでしょうか？
しかし「日帝の被害」は誇張し、捏造し、いつまでも赦さない人々が、今回の事件では、 早くも一方的に「自分たちが赦されたのだ」という思い込みにすがろうとする。大変に滑稽であり
大変に醜い、というほかはありません。 |
